A Simple Way to Label Moving Boxes

Write the destination room in large letters on the top and two sides. Underneath, add three or four words about the contents.

For example: KITCHEN | pans and baking trays.

Number boxes only if you are keeping a matching inventory. Otherwise the number tells nobody where the box belongs. Mark “fragile” where appropriate and “open first” only on the boxes that genuinely need opening first.

Simple labels work because the removal team can read them while carrying the box.
